Upload Your Documents – Use the portal (or mobile app) to upload tax forms and prior returns.

We Prepare & Review – Our team prepares your return, communicates through the portal, and provides it for review.

E-Sign & File – Once signed and paid, we e-file your return and store it securely in your portal.

🔎 Step-by-Step Process
Step 1: Schedule an Appointment
Book your consultation directly through our website.

Appointments are available in-office, by phone, or via video call. You’ll receive a confirmation email with your appointment details.
Step 2: New Clients – Portal Setup
After booking, new clients will receive an invitation to join our secure TaxDome Client Portal.

Create your account with a username and password.

If you file jointly, provide your spouse’s full name and a separate email address.
Step 3: Access the Client Portal
You can log in through our website (Client Portal link) or download the TaxDome app for easy access from your phone.

Mobile app = upload and scan documents directly.

Web access = full features from your computer.
Step 4: Engagement Letter & Organizer
Inside the portal, you’ll find:

Engagement Letter (must be signed before work begins)
-
Smart Organizer (questionnaire that adapts to your situation)

Tax Preparation Checklist (Deductions & Credits)
✅ Work begins only after:

The engagement letter is signed
-
The Smart Organizer is completed
-
All required documents are uploaded
👉 New clients should also upload the last two tax returns they filed.
Step 5: Completing the Smart Organizer

The organizer adapts to your answers (single, married, dependents, etc.).

Your responses save automatically, so you can complete it at your own pace.

Completing it online saves your information for future years, making the process faster.
Step 6: Uploading Tax Documents
You can upload all necessary documents through the portal:

Scan and upload from your computer.
-
Use the mobile app to create high-quality PDFs.
⚠️ Please avoid blurry photos of documents.
📌 New clients: upload your last two tax returns.
Step 7: Submitting Your Organizer
When your organizer is complete, click Done Submitting to notify our team.

If you have questions, use the Portal Chat and we’ll respond promptly.
Step 8: Preparing Your Return
Once your organizer and documents are received, our team will begin preparing your return.

If we need clarification, we’ll reach out through the Portal Chat.

You’ll receive updates as your return progresses.
Step 9: Review & E-Sign
When your return is ready:

We’ll upload it to the portal for you to review.

You can e-sign securely online.

After your signature and payment, we will e-file your return.

Step 10: Finalizing & Receiving Your Documents
After e-filing, you can choose:

Certified Mail delivery of your client folder (extra fee may apply).

Office Pickup (schedule through our website).
-
Portal Storage — secure, 24/7 access to your past returns and important documents.
💳 Final Invoice, Payment & Retainer Policy

Invoice Delivery: Once your return is complete, you’ll receive your final invoice via email. Invoices can be paid securely online. If you prefer to pay in person and pick up your paperwork at the same time, please schedule an appointment online.

Payment Required Before Filing: Tax returns will not be filed until the invoice is paid in full.

Final Invoice Calculation: Your final invoice is based on the complexity of your return (forms, states, investments, income level, and record organization).

Retainer Fee: A retainer may be required if you are filing multiple prior-year returns. The retainer will be applied to the first invoice. Each year’s return is billed separately once completed.
